TRI-STATE SHOOTING PARK, INC Minutes for October 11, 2017
Meeting called to order by vice president Rob Love @ 7:00
First on the agenda is information on the club house, G&F had come up to inspect and everything was looking good, just needed to install a back- flo water valve. Baldwin Roofing is doing the roof at cost, & hopefully they will be up Sat. to start the roof. Several club members know of him & he & his crew come highly recommended. Moss construction did the framing of the roof. There is one bathroom finished & useable, and there soon thereafter the other bathroom will be done, there are 3 total. We will soon be able to have our club meetings at the club house.
Kevin Ward has added another Rifle event a 30 round match. Everyone who participated had a great time. They used the front sight targets & Kelly won @ 59 out of 100 H.E. class. Friday the 13th will be the next match, & with a little (or a lot) of encouragement there may be more of these matches in the future depending on how much help & support Kevin can get.
The plates were all broke or cracked and are being repaired now. Kevin is looking into a better design & more durable set up. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the plate rack there is a lot of repetitive use & it is just breaking down, he & Gary K are working on it to get it back up to the range for all to use.
There was no one from the archery field to report on progress there, but there is now a table for their use.
There seems to have been miss-communication with the City of Bullhead between several agencies. They have 18 months to put the 50 yard range in, there is a contract with the city, a lawyer has been consulted & the project will move forward.
Jamie reported that sometime between Thanksgiving & Christmas there will be an NRA Metalic Reload class. More information will come soon, or you can always give Jamie a call.
There were 19 present for the meeting Meeting adjourned @ 7:17 Submitted by Cheryl Johnson
