Shooters may use any former military rifle with open (iron) sights such as M-1 Garand, M-1 Carbine, Model 1898 Mauser, Model 1903 Springfield, Soviet AK-47, etc. No optical sights, red dot, etc. We shoot large bullseye targets at 100 yards. 10 rounds standing, 10 rounds sitting or kneeling, and 10 rounds prone. Slings are OK, but no artificial supports such as shooting sticks, etc. Shooters with physical problems that won't allow sitting, kneeling or prone may shoot standing or sitting on a stool. |
